I...I cannot pick a particular genre or even author. I love authors who write to the point that the words move me to tears or even to get up and shout. LOL. I love authors who take you there so effortlessly. Even uncomfortable scenes, revelations, or subject matters can take me out of my comfort zone.

My comfort zone was Romance. LOL. While in college I read tons of Romance novels. Funny I barely read them now. Because of the phase I am in now the thought of romance makes me slightly uncomfortable if that makes any sense. LOL.Shaihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09049949734768494039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6261713742558099913.post-72970964838177376952007-10-11T03:25:00.000-07:002007-10-11T03:25:00.000-07:00Well,Idrissa you know I will go where no sister ha...Well,
Idrissa you know I will go where no sister has gone before, giggling

angeliaAngelia Vernon Menchanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04782697902784305887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6261713742558099913.post-82582536720786445992007-10-10T13:52:00.000-07:002007-10-10T13:52:00.000-07:00NF? Enjoy it? Not me! Just give me my fantasies. ...NF? Enjoy it? Not me! Just give me my fantasies. LOL One of the reasons that I love reading books is because I get to go someplace else.

I am struggling with a book right now for a review. An assigned (read, "paid") review, no less so you know I am not quitting. LOL

It's Christian sci-fi...can you imagine? Never figured the genre even exisited. The author is deep; too deep! LOL

I'm plugging my way through the read but not liking it . . . especially since I have so many pleasure reads on my nightstand that are calling out my name.

Lawd Angelia; you and your Ramblings sure pull up some places in me that I am not sure I want to visit. LOL

Guess that's what my mama calls "personal growth".

IdrissaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6261713742558099913.post-70008125605170632242007-10-10T13:38:00.000-07:002007-10-10T13:38:00.000-07:00Jen,it takes practice, NF that is...Gwyneth,I love...Jen,
it takes practice, NF that is...

Gwyneth,
I love that about you, I am the same way mostly, in fact I love to sometimes be a bit uncomfortable...

smooches,
angeliaAngelia Vernon Menchanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04782697902784305887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6261713742558099913.post-21040040635662536852007-10-10T13:37:00.000-07:002007-10-10T13:37:00.000-07:00Oh no blogger ate my first comment...or did I leav...Oh no blogger ate my first comment...or did I leave it on the wrong post...hehe.
xoxoYasminhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07847562755202742067noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6261713742558099913.post-60084402497326105572007-10-10T12:44:00.000-07:002007-10-10T12:44:00.000-07:00I love reading outside of my comfort zones. I like...I love reading outside of my comfort zones. I like it when I'm reading something and it shocks me but I can't stop turning the pages...Or if I read something and I'm still thinking about it a few days later because it pushed my boundaries in some way... Or pushing my reading by grappling with a densely written nonfiction theoretical text. With reading, I don't have to be in my comfort zone. I try not to let anything stand in the way of me and a good book. :-)

GwynethGwyneth Boltonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01241149490843015170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6261713742558099913.post-83551253978580083652007-10-10T12:41:00.000-07:002007-10-10T12:41:00.000-07:00I am taken out of my comfort zone when reading ero...I am taken out of my comfort zone when reading erotica as well. Lord I just feel like I am already surrounded bu high libidos already. Why would I want to read more? I also find it hard to curl up with non-fiction. I am still working on that but its a literal snoozer for me.Jennifer C.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12253564132754009574noreply@blogger.com
