On a dime…
In the blink of an eye…
I have been accused of being calculating…
I am, I must confess,
Because I think and re-think things,
Before I do them,
Because one thing I know for sure is that once a thing is done,
It can’t be undone,
We can say we are sorry,
We can cop, the old, ‘I am just human thang…”
Lord, is that tired,
But we can’t undo it,
So many things have happened around me lately,
That I know would have had different results if only some thinking had gone on,
Don’t get me wrong,
Spontaneity is a beautiful thang,
If you are walking down the street and you see a flower stand,
Please impulsively purchase a bunch and give them to someone you love,
On the other hand,
If you feel the need to cuss someone out,

And all I could think was this,
‘We are never sorry until we have done someone wrong…’
And you know what sorry don’t change much,
Sorry I beat you up,

Sorry I cheated on you,
Doesn’t uncheat you,
Sorry I killed someone,
Doesn’t unkill ‘em,
Just thinking,
Pausing,
Praying,
Before acting can make a huge difference,
Because it only takes the blink of an eye,
To change one’s life,
FOREVER….

Umph Umph Umph..."Sorry doesn't change much"...you got that right. Thinking before doing or speaking should be natural but too many folks do things without thinking about the consequences or how it will affect others.

You know it's true and people kill me doing the same thing over and over again...and claiming sorrow or saying they are just human...PLEEZ...sometimes we just have to own our own madness...and deal with the consequences of being rash...

The Creator gave us Free will but often people rush to doand say but not THINK.... I've noticed that this has become a society of excuses and finger pointing instead of accepting responsiblity for our own actions and words... I have to summarize this and give it to Man-child.

Sorry is as sorry does. It often takes a sorry person to act sorry. Do we as humans do anything spontaneously or have we thought about it subconsciously at some point in our life? (Good or bad things, jokingly or seriously) Do you believe we say and do things in life and at a later day and time when events take place we forget that we have spoken those words? Okay, I am rambling. Be mindful of the things we speak. Much love!
